About the role

The main purpose of the role is to manage the Accounts Payable team and ensure the company meets all partners' and vendors' requirements in a timely manner. Further focus is required to ensure the successful management of the Accounts Payable team to reach the set targets.

What you’ll be doing 

• Organize and oversee the daily work of the Accounts Payable team.
• Coordinate closing tasks with team members and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
• Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
• Create reports for management on an ad hoc and regular basis.
• Perform operational AP tasks on an ad hoc basis (invoice approval collection, invoice booking, invoice payment, bank postings).

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
• Minimum 3 years of people management or team leader experience.
• Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Medium/high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
• Fluent in English and Hungarian; any other languages are an asset.
